The Square Foot Myth: When thinking about building a home people immediately consider cost. A frequently used yardstick called the square foot method enables you (in theory) to make quick comparisons not only between different size homes, but between builders who quote you SFM figures. SFM cost comparisons should be avoided...! We don't buy cars by the pound, groceries by the bag, nor should we purchase homes by the square foot.
